Florida East Coast Railway

Florida East Coast Railway (FECR) brings over 100 years of regional understanding and expertise to meet the freight transportation needs of Florida’s densely populated and commercially critical east coast. FECR is a Class II freight railroad that extends along a 351-mile corridor between Jacksonville and Miami, with exclusive rail access to the Port of Palm Beach, Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) and the Port of Miami.

Beyond its coastal rail corridor, FECR provides drayage services throughout the Southeast with terminals located in Atlanta, Jacksonville, Ft. Pierce, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. The Railway has also forged marketing alliances with connecting carriers to offer daily express intermodal service to South Florida from Atlanta, Chicago, New York/New Jersey and Baltimore. These routes offer reliable service at competitive rates to capture truck traffic from the I-95 corridor to some of the nation’s largest distribution points.

The Railway understands the flow of goods into Florida and has a reputation for a strong customer focus through its scheduled train service which has an excellent on-time record. The Railway moves approximately 200,000 carloads of commodities such as crushed stone (aggregate), automobiles, food stuffs and construction material annually. Major customers include Tropicana, Ford, Crowley Liner Services, Titan America, ExxonMobil, Kraft, Rinker Materials, Birdsall Tropical Shipping, The Home Depot, Pepsi, Proctor & Gamble, Wal-Mart and UPS.

FECR expects to grow its business through a continued focus on providing superior customer service, scheduled trains and cost saving solutions to its customers. It also will continue to develop strategic relationships in order to provide more comprehensive services and to extend its reach.
